The WIIT brand was established in 2001, when Walther Italia Information Technology, decided to refocus its growth strategy from the provision of consulting services to the provision of IT outsourcing services for medium-sized enterprises.

Today WIIT is the leading provider of IT outsourcing services to medium-sized enterprises, both in Italy and internationally, which demand high quality standards at the best market conditions.

WIIT owes its number one position to a winning strategy which in recent years has included targeted acquisitions aimed at expanding the firm’s offer in the application software domain. We have also enjoyed organic growth driven by our excellent standard of service provision, which has been rewarded by our customers’ loyalty down the years.

In order to deliver high-quality services, WIIT has spent a number of years acquiring major strategic assets. These include two data centres (one in Milan and one in Triveneto), which are used to offer housing, hosting, ASP and disaster recovery services, and an important and innovative Business Continuity solution.

For the provision of application management services, WIIT has equipped itself with the necessary expertise in SAP^®, eBusiness Suite^® and J.D. Edwards^®, the most commonly used ERP solutions in the world.

The firms acquired by WIIT continue to independently develop and launch their own projects onto the market, while providing WIIT with the support and expertise necessary to provide the ongoing services which form its core business.

2001 WIIT is formed from the acquisition of Dialog Software + Telecommunications (Italian branch of the German multinational of the same name) by Walther Italia Information Technology (IT services company owned by the Walther Italia Group, incorporated in 1952).

2004 In order to offer its customers data centre, disaster recovery and business continuity services, WIIT acquires a Class A data centre.

2006 As part of a long-term strategy to expand its service offering, WIIT acquires the branch of Unisys Italia which specialises in network document processing.

2007 The Global Outsourcing SAP business unit obtains SAP Partner Hosting certification, which is awarded exclusively to outsourcers offering excellent expertise and infrastructures.

At the end of the year WIIT buys a majority stake in SevenLab S.p.A., thus equipping itself with a second data centre. SevenLab was formed in 2004 based on the acquired know-how and data centre (Castelfranco Veneto – TV) of Seven, one of Italy’s largest web media agencies and winner of multiple awards including the Silver and Bronze Lion at Cannes.

2008 Wiit adds a new company to its Group: Exstone, the birth of Consulting Division. This new company aims to be the heart of the expertise of the group relating to the Oracle E-Business suite, JD Edwards Enterprise One and Suite Hyperion.

2010 A new company Fishouse joined Wiit Group. Fishouse is leader in webv communication.
